Justice Statistics

The Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs publishes the statistics and interactive dashboards relating to criminal justice, quarterly lobbying data summaries and the results of annual victim surveys.

First half-year crime statistics

14 601 crimes were registered during the 1st half-year of 2026, which is 6% more when compared to the the same time period in 2025.

Violence offences

There were 3319 registered violence offences in the first six months of 2026, which is 3 percent more than in 2025.

Domestic violence

There were 1149 registered domestic violence offences in the first half year, which is 2% less than in 2025.

Offences against property

There were 7828 registered offences against property, which is 6% more than in 2025.

Theft

There were 7828 registered thefts in the first half year, which is a 6% increase when compared with the same period in 2025.

Fraud

The number of registered fraud crimes was 1577, which is a 10% decrease when compared to last year.

Traffic Offences

The number of traffic offences was 1323, which is 3% less compared with same period in 2025.

Overview of Lobby Meetings

Meetings held

In the second quarter of 2026, there were 272 meetings held with lobbyists.

Government institutions

The Ministry of Climate has published the most lobby meetings (62), followed by the Ministry of Social Affairs (24) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (24).

Government officials

Out of all government officials who met with lobbyists, Erkki Keldo (19 meetings), Rainer Vakra (19) and Reimo Heinam (18) were lobbied the most.

Most active lobbyists

The most active lobbyists last quarter were The Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce (10 meetings) and the Estonian Hunters’ Society (9).
